Abstract

Ravenswood resulted from the initiative of a handful of parents in the early 1950s. Around it, in the increasingly ‘humane social climate’ of the 1950s and 1960s, there grew up a parents' organisation and an interdisciplinary team under the broad banner of ‘The Ravenswood Foundation’.
