Abstract

Following a number of years of investigations undertaken by the technical department of Aktiebolaget Broströms Linjeagentur (Broström Lines Agency Ltd.), of Gothenburg, into the corrosion damage to ships' engines caused by electrical phenomena, Hilding Bergenheim, a marine engineer of that company, has evolved a counteracting device which, it is claimed, neutralises the corrosive action. Patents covering the device have been granted in a number of European countries and have been applied for elsewhere.
