Activated Red Lead: GREATER ANTI‐COROSIVE CAPACITY

Abstract

Although many different rust‐inhibiting pigments have been used in anti‐corrosive paints, much reliance is still placed on red lead because of its passivating property. Work carried out in Finland shows that the addition of activators can improve the rust‐resisting properties of paintsbased on red lead.
