Cooling Water Corrosion in Urban Environments
Abstract
The rapid growth in the use of air conditioning in the U.S.A. in recent years and the concurrent rapid increase in water conservation measures have led to the installation of thousands of smaller‐capacity cooling towers on and within urban buildings such as offices, multiple dwelling apartments, department stores, hospitals and supermarkets. Non‐chemical considerations frequently make it necessary to modify the usual approach to a solution of the corrosion problem arising.
