PLASTICS COATINGS —: Their Uses in Industry

Abstract

During recent years, as designers and engineers came to realise their possibilities, the use of plastics coatings has increased in a spectacular manner, and the range of components and parts now treated is too wide and varied to attempt to list. The main reasons for the employment of plastics coatings are to provide: (1) a surface resistant to corrosion of all kinds; (2) electrical insulation; (3) cushioning against shock; (4) non‐sticking properties and (5) decoration.
