Abstract

New straws. A number of new developments in anti‐corrosion coincide (but, it is hoped, are not purely coincidental) with the Corrosion and Metal Finishing Exhibition. A corrosion research grant from DSIR; the formation of a new industrial joint corrosion group; and—to be wildly expectant—the change in governmental attitudes displayed in the reformation of technology and education Ministries; all these may be, as yet, only straws in the wind moving in the direction of an established, fully grown and fully consultable technology of anti‐corrosion. But at least they are evidence of a wind blowing.
