Temporary corrosion protectives
Abstract
Temporary corrosion protectives are designed to prevent corrosion of metal surfaces of equipment during transport and storage. They are in many cases removed from the surfaces before the equipment is put into operation, and one of the features which distinguishes them from permanent protectives such as paints, is that they are readily removable. There are broadly 10 different types of temporary protectives; the outlet for some of them is small and the major demand is confined to oils, solvent‐containing fluids and soft solids. The three types of product will in turn be discussed in this and two subsequent issues of ANTI‐CORROSION METHODS AND MATERIALS.
