Abstract

The National Insurance Joint Authority, in exercise of powers conferred by section 20(2) of the National Insurance Act 1965 as amended by section 14 of, and paragraph 3 of Schedule 5 to, the National Insurance Act 1971, and the Secretary of State for Social Services, in conjunction with the Treasury so far as relates to matters with regard to which the Treasury have so directed, in exercise of his powers under sections 48(1), 75(2) and 81(3) of the said Act of 1965 and section 11(1) — of the National Insurance Act 1966, as amended by section 6(1) of the National Insurance Act 1972, in each case in exercise of all other powers enabling them in that behalf, hereby make the following regulations which, as they are made before the expiration of six months beginning with the passing of the said Act of 1972 and contain no provisions other than such as are made in consequence of the said Act of 1972 or operate with reference to the amount of a person's earn‐ings under section 20(2) of the said Act of 1965, are exempt from the requirements of section 108 of the said Act of 1965 (reference to the National Insurance Advisory Committee) by virtue of paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 4 to the said Act of 1972:—
