Abstract

Motorola has announced the availability of a new, wireless, pocket‐sized modem, called InfoTAC, that will equip mobile workers with the benefits of wireless communication on ARDIS. The modem operates as a lightweight, full‐function radio packet modem on the ARDIS nationwide network, providing laptop computer users with the advantages of wireless communication with no change to their existing hardware. The modem is frequency agile to take advantage of ARDIS' nationwide roaming capabilities.
