Abstract

OF interest to aircraft constructors in general and to aeronautical engineers in particular is the new automatic process for high‐speed welding of stainless steel components without affecting the rust‐resisting properties of the welded surfaces. The process has been applied, with marked success, to the welding of hull components, main beams, ribs, spars, brackets, fairings and fittings.
