Abstract

THE Amsler High Frequency Vibrophores serve for determining the resistance to repeated tension or compression loads or to alternate tension/compression stresses of metallic (ferrous and non‐ferrous) and non‐metallic materials (such as ceramics, plastics, etc.) of suitable size and shape, as well as for investigating the resistance to dynamic forces of structural elements and assemblies such as riveted or welded joints, threaded sections, wires for cables and concrete, etc. They also serve for the quantitative determination of the damping capacity of materials.
