Abstract

In order to procure a sequence of superimposed still photographs showing the tumbling or gyrations of a pilot's ejection scat, a droppable fuel tank, or bombs after release from a model in a wind tunnel, Chance Vought Aircraft, Inc., have developed a simple technique. Small scale models were ejected by a pre‐loaded spring or released into the airstream in the Vought low‐speed tunnel, and a photograph had to be taken showing what happened at various stages after they left the model.
