Abstract

Although there is very little space in which crew members can move about inside modern bombers it is often necessary for them to move a few feet from one position to another. At high altitudes this presents the problem of maintaining the necessary supplies of main oxygen, ventilation air and expiratory valve heating, in addition to microphone, telephone and visor connexions, to safeguard the crew member. It is important that the time during which he is disconnected from the essential supplies and services of the aircraft should be as short as possible.
