Abstract
The first of these two books provides information and illustrations concerning each American bomber aircraft within the military designations B.1 to B.70. Although there is little depth to the information provided about each aircraft—and the actual amount of specification data varies considerably from one type to another—it is extremely useful to have a ready reference volume covering succeeding generations of American bomber aircraft. The book runs to 237 pages and contains more than 200 photographs and 74 three‐view drawings. It is to be regretted that the paper on which the photographs arc printed does not do them full justice. Beginning with the Keystone XB‐1 Super Cyclops of the 1920's, the volume terminates with a description of the North American B.70 Valkyrie (now redesignated the RS.70). With the writing on the wall for the large manned bomber this work provides a nostalgic link with the past.
