Abstract

Equipment, Programmes, Techniques and Projects. The majority of light tensile testing machines used for production testing of wire materials are hand‐operated with steelyard indication of load. These machines cannot reproduce strain‐rates on different specimens due to the manual straining and, because of the design, they arc slow in operation and awkward to use. Saml. Denison & Son Ltd. have therefore introduced a new light tensile testing machine, primarily intended for modernizing techniques in the production testing of wire, strip, etc.
