Abstract

Details of Electrical and Electronic Apparatus with Applications in the Maintenance and Operation of Aircraft, Missiles and Space Vehicles. Brief details of a new incrtial navigation system featuring a single universal incrtial sensor, that combines the performance of gyros and accclcromctcrs and may be used in either gimballcd or strap‐down applications, have been announced by Honeywell in the United States. The universal sensor is in fact an electrostatic gyro‐accclcrometcr or ESGA which is said to have to be an outgrowth of Honeywell's pioneering work on electrically‐suspended gyros (ESG).
