Abstract

Details of Electrical and Electronic Apparatus with Applications in the Maintenance and Operation of Aircraft, Missiles and Space Vehicles, A new S‐band T.R. cell type JF.20 has been developed by Ferranti Ltd., King's Cross Road, Dundee, Scotland. The cell—which has been designed to provide protection for travelling wave tubes or parametric amplifiers used in pulsed radar systems—has a radio‐active filling and therefore docs not need an external primer supply. Within the frequency limits 2,700 Mc/s to 3,100 Mc/s the V.S.W.R. is less than 1–25 and the insertion loss is typically 0.3 db.
