Ear‐to‐ground

Abstract

A new advanced lift jet for V/S.T.O.L. aircraft is to be developed by Rolls‐Royce and an American engine manufacturer under the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding signed by the United Kingdom and United States Governments. This co‐operative programme will cover the joint engineering of the project. In addition Rolls‐Royce will make a substantial financial contribution to the initial programme and a further contribution at a later date.
