The challenge to the industry

Abstract

THE 1968 Farnborough Lecture of the Society of Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Technologists was given by Mr J. P. W. Mallalieu, Minister of State, Ministry of Technology, on the opening day of the S.B.A.C. Display at Farnborough. The subject of the lecture was ‘The Challenge before the British Aircraft Industry’, and extracts of some of the main points of his paper are given below.
