Abstract

A real‐time system for recording and monitoring the defect state of aircraft as an aid to the efficient planning of servicing work is one of the projects BEA is studying now the engineering division management has possession of an improved computer for the control of aircraft maintenance and servicing. It is envisaged this system will use visual display units to provide instant information on the technical state of each aircraft so that engineers can plan the required repair work during convenient periods within the operating schedule.
