HS 1182 — design for defence in the 1980's

Abstract

THE HS 1182 multi‐purpose ground attack‐trainer has been designed to offer good handling characteristics throughout its flight envelope, slow approach and landing speeds suitable for the basic jet training requirement and high indicated air speed and mach number performance necessary for the advanced flying training stage. This ensures the aircraft will embrace the wide spectrum currently covered by the Gnat/Hunter and Jet Provost.
