Cross‐Section of U.S. Aero Industry at Farnborough

Abstract

The American aerospace industry is turning out in force for this year's Farnborough International Air Show. On the USA exhibit in the North Exhibition Hall more than 30 companies will be offering high technology equipment ranging from low weight, low maintenance solid‐state navigation systems to specially brazed and welded airframe components. Navigational equipment, largely based on the Omega system, will be strongly in evidence, as will be both on‐board and ground based weather radars. Communications, electronic testing and in‐flight recording equipments are other important product sectors.
