Looking Ahead

Abstract

Attempts to predict trends in aircraft design often encounter difficulties, not the least being the question of the validity of the technical background on which the arguments are based. However, when the Vice‐President Engineering of the Boeing Commercial Airplane Company makes a wide‐ranging survey it must surely be founded on recognised present‐day practices and the projection of advanced technology.
