Movement in Category III Conditions

Abstract

The 30th January 1981 saw Heathrow Airport London covered in dense fog. The Runway Visual Range on Runway 28L (Fig. 1), down to 125m at times, did not exceed 200m until 1800 hrs and 400m until 0830 on the 31st.
