Abstract

SOME areas of components such as blades and gas guide vanes in turbine engines are critically liable to overheating and must be cooled by air forced through ducts inside the structure and liberated at the surface of the component via rows of holes, typically between 27 and 32 thousandths of an inch in diameter.
