Abstract

As Halley's Comet approaches the earth — it should become visible to the naked eye in the Southern Hemisphere from sometime in December — Raychem engineers are reminded that the company's Specification 44 wire and cable and its heat‐shrinkable tubings and mouldings will be on board GIOTTO, the spacecraft launched earlier this summer to intercept the comet.
