Abstract

The Rolls‐Royce RB 211 jet engine normally consumes vast quantities of air when it is thrusting the Tristar to speeds in excess of 500 mph. But when it comes to maintenance, a thin film of air is all that is needed to move this giant engine across the floor of the British Airways overhaul workshops at Heathrow. This film of air supports the Hovair type TPW6 — 22 Transporter made by Hovair Systems.
