Abstract

ADVANCES in computer‐aided design and engineering could increase productivity 10‐fold in the next three years as a result of new developments such as realistic application of virtual reality techniques that allow designers to more easily create and review their most sophisticated projects by visualising the literal impact of external forces on their design, according to Donald McInnis, vice president of software development and marketing for Computervision.
