Continuing the case of the co‐opted committeeman

Abstract

LAST MONTH this column was devoted to discussion of a bitterly‐complaining article in New society (28 March 74), with particular emphasis on its intemperate style and self‐righteous tone. In fairness to the author, E P Thompson, and to the public librarians whom he attacked, we should now consider some of his complaints.
