Punch a public librarian or two
Abstract
THERE HAVE ALWAYS been nuisances to blight the lives of those who work in public libraries. Every service point has always had its quota of the nasty‐natured—the short‐tempered, importunate, illogical, belligerent—and the downright nutty. They have usually formed but a small proportion of the total membership and have been readily identified. The behaviour of the others, the vast majority of the readers, has been reasonable and predictable.
