Making a fair copy

Abstract

THE Periodical Publishers Association has issued a code of fair practice ‘with regard to the photocopying from periodicals’. This quaintly entitled document sets out some conditions under which the PPA is prepared to accede to photocopying of articles appearing in the publications of its members. The code of practice is tolerant of photocopying on a wider basis than the Copyright Act of 1956 allows.
