SCHOOL LIBRARIES — SOME ANGLO‐AMERICAN COMPARISONS

Abstract

We have become used to believing that what America does today, we will discover in ten years time. My recent trip to the United States suggests otherwise — at least in the school library field where the issues that are immediate are much the same on both sides of the Atlantic. There is one intriguing exception, which I shall explain later.
