Abstract

We're still in the longest peacetime expansion in U.S. history. Isn't it too good to last? Maybe not, according to Joseph H. Haimowitz, an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. After analyzing more than 100 years of data, Haimowitz concluded that the average length of economic expansions has increased dramatically since World War II.
