The Last World: Courage

Abstract

Courage is often a quiet thing, not much remarked upon. But on September 11, hundreds of those quiet acts merged to become deafening roar, and we had too many object lessons in the meaning of courage to absorb at once. So here we look back to the past for reflections not only on the nature of courage, but also on its importance.
