Abstract

URICA offers two paths of information access, the ENQUIRY module and OPAC. The first is intended for the use of library staff, and prompts and messages are, therefore, intentionally sparse, whereas OPAC is the public access facility and differs accordingly. OPAC also differs in that the library has a great deal of control over the search and display features offered to the user. The following article describes Bath University Library's experiences with OPAC.
