Comment

Abstract

Despite the Government's exhortations to industry to stabilise prices, the economic facts of life show that the paint industry is faced with mounting costs of a wide range of raw materials, which are likely to result in increased prices for paints in the near future. Unlike many industries, raw materials account for some 60% of the manufactured costs of paint and surface coatings.
