Abstract

A new educational course in surface coatings technology has been set up by the Paintmakers Association (PA). Based on the recently developed distance learning technique known as Open Tech, the new course allows students to learn at a time, place and pace which will suit them best. The home study programme is the result of a three‐year contract signed by PA and the Manpower Services Commission's training division. The first of the four modules which comprise the pilot scheme will be available by 1 October, 1984.
