Abstract

We were informed last month that work on a 2V2 year collaborative project has just begun at two major UK Research Institutions on the development of computer software to model emulsion polymerisation reactions. Yarsley Technical Centre and its sister company Fulmer Research Laboratories are working together with the University of Bradford Polymer Research Unit on predictive programs that will increase the understanding of the emulsion polymerisation process. The initial six month pilot phase is now underway but additional companies may still join the project and be eligible for the resulting software, which will only be available to participating companies.
