Waxes and wax dispersions for improving surface properties

Abstract

As with their solvent based cousins, aqueous printing inks require additions of wax to impart rub and abrasion resistance. Due to the hydrophopic nature of most waxes this cannot be easily achieved with conventional materials which will tend to separate out.
