Abstract

Mr Carter said he proposed to deal with some practical difficulties in the way of international collaboration in documentation. The task was important for UNESCO because development in every field of Education, science, and culture largely depended on international co‐operation in documentation. UNESCO represented the biggest practical effort yet made to assist such collaboration, but UNESCO was still feeling its way towards the best means of working and of using its limited finance, but it was clear that both international and national documentation and library organizations had a key place in the UNESCO scheme.
