Abstract
I should like to talk for a short while about one or two features of the industrial background against which the hopes and aspirations of specialist activities such as yours, or at any rate many of you, have to be judged and measured, judged in the context of the private opportunity for achievement, and of the public benefit, and measured by reference to their scale, their availability and their cost.
