OFFICIAL OPENING OF: Motor Industry Research Association Laboratory and Proving Ground

Abstract

The Formal Opening of the Motor Industry Research Association Laboratory and Proving Ground at Lindley, near Nuneaton, took place on Friday, 21st May, by The Rt. Hon. A. T. Lennox‐Boyd, M.P. Minister of Transport. In his opening speech, the Minister praised the work of MIRA and also that of its President, Mr. William Lyons. Whilst promising his support and realising the need for road improvement in this country, the Minister could make no promises about this very important matter.
