Abstract

Rear wheel bearings usually lie within the final drive housings and are splash‐lubricated by the oil charge for the final drive. If they lie outside the housings they are lubricated separately by arrangments similar to those for the front wheels. Both rear and front wheels usually have tapered roller bearings.
