Abstract

CLAIMING to be one of the largest, if not the largest manufacturers of lubricating oils and greases in Canada, Imperial Oil Limited are keeping to the forefront of the industry by the practice of modern methods of production at their new $13 million plant in Edmonton, Alberta, which, officially opened in November, 1955, is the first full‐scale lubricating oil plant in Canadian west and the second largest in the country. They are also endeavouring to keep ahead of current lubrication techniques by a very up‐to‐date lubrication research organisation connected with their Sarnia, Ont., refinery and headed by Dr. O. S. Pokorny, one of the world's top lubricating oil scientists.
