Abstract

THE Jones‐Shipman Model 768 Production Honing machine does not merely perform a polishing operation. An economical amount of stock can be removed from cylindrical surfaces at a rapid rate with no localized heat condition and at any desired surface finish, which can be duplicated. This particular model has been produced to meet the demand for over‐square bores (where diameter is greater than length). Correct lubrication is essential since this machine does more work and is more highly stressed than a conventional honing machine.
