Abstract

IN A paper to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers at New York in April, W. B. Wallace, Chief Development Engineer, Mirlees Blackstone Ltd., Stockport, Cheshire, described the development work carried out on a range of high output medium‐speed Diesel engines (K major engines) to enable them to burn residual fuels. The author included field problems with the first few production engines and their solutions.
