BIG LINE IN BALL VALVES

Abstract

A leading valve manufacturer has Everlube® 620 Solid Film Lubricant applied to all load‐bearing surfaces of its ball valves. The one shown, the largest of its type used on trans‐continental pipe‐line systems, is a 48 inch valve, meaning that the port opening is 48 inches in diameter. The sphere diameter is 6 feet and the complete valve assembly weighs nearly 6 tons.
