Abstract

BECAUSE it operates equally satisfactorily driven clockwise or anti‐clockwise, a rotary hydraulic pump marketed by the Tuthill Pump Company, Chicago, Illinois has solved many problems. Reversing pumps of this type, it is pointed out, pay dividends in applications where the pump must be driven from a reverse‐rotation shaft or when machinery must be shipped without the sender knowing the directional drive of the unit likely to be involved.
