Abstract

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA), which recently opposed plans for a Chartered Managers' body in the UK, has joined with four other kindred professional bodies to propose an alternative scheme. This scheme, part of which has already attracted private funding, can be launched this year and has an immediate potential of almost 18,000 students. It is the response to the consultative document issued by the Council for Management Education and Development in its Management Charter Initiative.
