Abstract

Some users of DOS versions 3.2 and 3.3 have experienced a problem with the FORMAT command that causes them to receive an erroneous bad track zero error message. This problem has been observed on the new IBM PS/2 machines, as well as on earlier PC models. In a recent letter to PC Week, one user provided a workaround for this bug. It seems that, despite the error message, the disk has been correctly formatted!
